It was an uncommon day for actor Mark Wahlberg when his teenage son approached him to ask quite an unusual question. “Dad, will you dare to be in the ring with Conor McGregor?” asked the innocent kid. Mark nodded his head and grinned silently. Later, he appeared on the popular sports podcast Pardon My Take and talked about his conversation with his son. During the podcast, Mark made several remarks about McGregor and eulogized him as a “big screen star.”
At one point, Mark was asked about his anticipated collaboration with Conor McGregor. “Oh! Absolutely. We are almost all set to kick off the shoot of our upcoming movie,” said the excited Dubliner. Gently smiling, he also told the correspondents that he had a “funny” conversation with his son back home about collaborating with McGregor. “And guess what? I have got to give it a shot!” said the movie star – who was once a popular rapper.
However, it is essential to note that before this latest announcement, Mark had revealed earlier that he would star along with Jake Gyllenhaal in another Hollywood movie. At the same time, Marky Mark – another popular Hollywood star – also showed interest in working with McGregor. By the time Wahlberg announced his upcoming collaboration with McGregor, Marky revealed that he also had a plan to make a duo with the UFC star. Just like Wahlberg, Marky also acknowledges that McGregor is a big screen star, and it would be “a wholesome” collaboration with him.
Nevertheless, the confirmation of the collab is yet to come. But looking at the affirmations of both (Mark Wahlberg and Marky Mark,) it seems like they are all set to kick off the shooting of the forthcoming movie. As we await the confirmation, fans are equally excited about the name and nature of the movie. Of course, it would be a big hit!
It is essential to note that along with his acting career, Wahlberg has also produced several Hollywood movies. And almost all of them have been widely successful. It seems like whatever Wahlberg touches, he does not leave it without turning it into gold.
From “Ted” (2012) to “The Patriot’s Day” (2016), all of Wahlberg’s movies have been widely successful. Likewise, his latest movie, “Father Stu: (2022), is no exception, proving to be as popular and successful as the previous ones.
Thus, looking at Wahlberg’s previous super hit films, it becomes apparent that the two will surely take Hollywood to a new level if he joins hands with UFC’s biggest star.
As we await the complete cast of the collaborative movie that is set to partner McGregor and Wahlberg, let’s sit back and appreciate the collaboration first. This will surely be followed by one of the biggest movies Hollywood has ever produced.
