Highest Paid Actors In The World In 2022

The year 2020 has been difficult for movie makers and artists all over the world because movies could not be released at the box office due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, there has been a sharp recovery in 2021, with top-tier Hollywood actors doing exceptionally well, thanks to the success of their films.

Despite the fact that a number of big-budget films were unable to get theatrical releases and were even postponed indefinitely, a few actors have made millions of dollars. We saw several major films released on OTT platforms such as Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, and others. Here are the names of some of the famous highest-paid celebrities:

Top Gun: Maverick has been ranking as the highest-grossing film of 2022, grossing over USD 1.3 billion worldwide. With this one film, Tom Cruise has risen to the top of the list of the world’s highest-paid actors, reportedly earning more than USD 100 million.
According to Variety, Cruise receives a percentage of the film’s first-dollar gross, which means he gets paid before the studio does. As a result, his earnings for Top Gun: Maverick include his salary, ticket sales, and a portion of his earnings from streaming and home entertainment rentals.

Dwayne Johnson

A-list American actor, businessman, and former professional wrestler, Dwayne Johnson is also known as The Rock. He is the world’s highest-paid actor. For his part as a riverboat captain in Disney’s fantasy adventure film “Jungle Cruise,” he received $22 million USD.

In 2021, he earned an additional staggering $20 million as an actor for the Netflix heist comedy “Red Notice,” which he produced himself. Red Notice was the most-viewed film on the streaming service, with 328,8 million viewing hours.
